Conference Papers

Each day (from 6th to 10th April) will feature a full programme of papers, each presented in a themed session by academics and practitioners from across the world. Take a look at our abstracts to see the topics that will be covered. The full programme will be released prior to the conference.


 

 

Thursday 6th April

Conference Opening

Join us for the conference opening session on Thursday 6th April to hear keynote speakers Professor Alison Phipps, Professor Charles Forsdick and Dr Lelio Mármora. After the sessions close in the afternoon, there will be a drinks reception at the National Museum of Immigration.

Friday 7th April 

Drinks Reception: National Museum of Fine Art (evening)

On the evening of Friday 7th April,  enjoy a glass of wine and picada (nibbles), explore the collections, join a gallery tour, and learn more about the museum’s fascinating history from its knowledgeable team.

Saturday 8th April

Optional Extra: Conference Dinner and Tango Show (evening)

As an optional extra to the conference activities, join us for an authentic dinner and tango show in the heart of the San Telmo neighbourhood of Buenos Aires. A great opportunity to experience this vibrant Argentinian tradition is part of the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List. Cost: £48.
